Calacatta Gold marble is our hottest countertop material right now.
Everyone wants it, but unfortunately not everyone can afford it. Calacatta Gold is a pretty expensive marble.
Recently we had some special order slabs of Calacattta for a beautiful kitchen we are doing and the unexpected happened. We knew that we were going to have to seam the large island together out of two perfectly bookmatched slabs (we call it a Butterfly Island).
Long story made short, when we put the two slabs together it made a design down the center of the island that was several abstract, but frightening, images.
We flipped the slabs around in hopes of a better design and we still had the same result. Rather than our client having nightmares stemming from her kitchen island we figured it would a good idea to go back to the selection board.
We found something that works and she is happy, but now we have 3 slabs of Calacatta Gold Marble that are absolutely amazing sitting in our yard.
Rather than paying to ship them back to the supplier who is out of state, we are selling them at an extremely discounted cost.
So, if you are in the market for a white marble this is a fantastic buy on some very exclusive and unique marble slabs.
Here are some pictures of the slabs.
Don't worry they are the same slabs, the lighting is just different in the two locations that the pictures were taken in.
These will go fast, so please call or email us asap if you are interested.
Update: Slabs are now sold!

wow! My friend, who is doing an amazing basement bar really wishes you all were in Missouri right now! those are beautiful! And EXACTLY what she is looking for.
p.s. she is going with Caesarstone blizzard.
1. That's just some kind of torture. Not that I have a place for that right now but they are so gorgeous.
2. I wish you would have taken pictures of the slabs put together!
3. How interesting that it is the most popular selling item. I think you should do a post on what the most popular stone has been over the past few years. I think it would be really interesting.
4. If this is the most popular stone right now and I'm guessing a few years ago the most popular stone would have been some kind of granite, do you think there is any material that is truly timeless and will never look dated? Part of me wants to say marble because it's been used for ages, but I wonder if that's not me just thinking that because it's so hot right now.
Lots of questions and yet no buying of the those slabs from me. I hope they find a wonderful home where someone will stare at them awestruck on a daily basis.
Melissa-
We can ship to Missouri! :)
CaesarStone's Blizzard is a fantastic choice too though.
Erin-
I think we may have pictures of the slabs put together. I'll look into it and post them if I can find them on someone's iPhone. :)
Also, your idea for a post on the past most popular stones is a fabulous idea! Watch for it soon!
