Whiteout Wednesday: 5 White Kitchens with Marble Full Height Backsplashes

White kitchens and baths are definitely the hottest trend I am seeing right now. It's also the subject I get asked about the most. From Carrara marble to white quartz there is a lot to consider when selecting white countertops.
Whiteout Wednesday is a weekly feature where I show five kitchens and/ or baths that have used white in a beautiful way.
If you have a white kitchen or bath that you would like to see featured here please email me.

I've mentioned this before, but when you have a gorgeous stone my favorite option for a backsplash is definitely using the slab.  It shows off the beauty of the slab so much more when you see it vertically.
Today I have five stunning kitchens all with full height backsplashes.

I just love this first kitchen.  They used Emperador Dark marble on the Island and Calacatta Gold marble on the perimeter countertops and full height backsplash.  Notice the detail of the splash behind the hood, they matched the shape of the hood to finish it off.  It looks fantastic.

In this next kitchen they raised some of the pieces in the full height splash to create a paneled look.  This gives the functionality of a full slab backsplash with added visual interest.

I love adding shelves inserted into the full height splash like in the photo below.

This Calacatta marble is so stunning.  I feel like using at the full height backsplash is what really puts it over the top!

  1. I'm with you 100% on the marble backsplash thing. I have never seen that raised panel look like in the second picture before and I absolutely love it.

Incidentally, I think I've decided that the only material I like slab backsplashes in is marble. And really, why not show off more of a stone that is so pretty?

  3. I really like the idea of building a shelf into the slab. I hadn't thought of that.
Also, I love that kitchen that mixes the Emperador Dark with the Calacatta. I never would have thought of putting those two stones together.
Whiteout Wednesday is my favorite day of the week!
